So for my AP psych class, we have to make a life size brain model that's actually to scale of a real brainMe and my partner want to use candy for the different parts but we want to have like a brain mold to glue the candy onto to make it easierWe were thinking styrofoam but styrofoam is hard to shape and cut coming from personal experienceDoes anyone.perhaps artistic individuals that may have any ideas of what we could use as a mold for our candy brain? We don't want to spend lots of money.our teacher even said to be cheap with thisSo any ideas? let it thaw out ,if you have a light oven then you can just cook it it there with out thawing season it .I like to put a them with seasoning and let them sit in a container for about 3 to 4 hours with the spices I put on them then cook or you do it many ways just a little olive oil in a pan ,you could back it ,etc.dont be scared to to try to cook.
For a life-size brain, wad up some newspaper and hold it in rough brain shape with masking or other tape You could also begin with a large lunch-size paper bag, stuff that, then shape a bit and hold in shape with the tapeThat may be enough for a good form (not a mold btw), but if you want to refine the shape a bit more, add scrunched aluminum foil over the newspaperBtw, polystyrene foams can be cut fairly easily with serrated knives or with hot tools (you probably don't have those)It can then be sanded with a broken-off piece of ps foam rubbed against the area you want to sand, or with sandpapers/rasps/food graters/etc.
