Question:

The difference between 12Cr1MoVG alloy steel tube and 15CrMo

The difference between 12Cr1MoVG alloy steel tube and 15CrMo

Answer:

With this kind of steel manufacturing products, usually by heat treatment (normalizing and tempering); parts made before use, usually need to go through refining or chemical surface treatment (carburizing and nitriding), surface quenching or high-frequency quenching treatment. Therefore, according to the chemical composition (mainly carbon content), heat treatment process and use of different, such steel can be roughly divided into carburizing, quenching and tempering and nitriding steel three.
12Cr1MoVG is a kind of material for alloy tubes. The main purpose is to make the steel structure in the boiler, the use temperature of 580 degrees, requiring high temperature resistance steel plate, durable strength, steel plate in the normalized and tempered state delivery. 12Cr1MoV alloy tube is based on high quality carbon structural steel. It is appropriate to add one or more alloy elements to improve the mechanical properties, toughness and hardenability of steel.
15CrMo is a steel Pearlite Heat-resistant steel, has high heat resistance at high temperature (b = 440MPa) and antioxidant activity, and has certain ability of anti hydrogen corrosion. Because of the high content of Cr, C and other alloy elements in steel, the tendency of hardening of steel is obvious, and the weldability is poor.
