Question:

Could this be dehydration?

Today, i haven't really drank that much.and i haven't had an appetite as well.I took a bite out of lasagna, which is my favorite, and it seriously tasted like vomit.Idk why, it tasted like i've been throwing up.I do feel dehydrated, though. Not really nauseous as if it were a stomach virus, and no diarrheaJust vomit taste in my mouth. What could cause this? Also, I lost my virginity this morning (Sorry for those who find that gross), incase that has anything at all to do with this.

Answer:

Dehydration can cause a severe dry mouthIn doing so it can change the tastes of food and other items that are ingestedThe taste buds within the mouth are meant to receive dissolved particles of food through receptors that send electro-chemical signals to the brain and are comprised into a flavor profile that we recognizeNow if your mouth was extremely dry then yes the taste could be altered into unpredictable patternsAlso, here is a fun question and factWas the Lasagna covered with Aluminum Foil? If so tomatoes in the sauce are highly acidic and can actually break down the foil into the food producing an nauseating metallic taste that is associated with the degradation of the aluminum.
