Question:

How do I get my rug back to normal?

Today I put my green fuzzy rug in the dryer for about 15 minutes to clean it a bit and before i put it in the dryer it was not wet and it was all clumpy when i took it out. I also used an aroma therapy dryer sheet to make it smell good- vanilla. Now it looks like sheep wool on a sheep! I was wondering if you know how to get it back to normal. It is also in knots ( I tried combing and brushng it out). please help me asap. it says:Front: 100% acrylicBack: 100% polyesterWash in cold waterDrip dry onlyDo not bleachDo not iron(It is from walmart)if that helps

Answer:

it says drip dry only. the rugs done. the polyester melted together.
Oops! Sounds like you fried the puppy. The entire rug is made of man-made fibers. The heat of the dryer, especially since the rug was dry, melted the fibers. Since it is from WalMart, hopefully it wasn't too expensive. Afraid you can't try to take it back. Best to get another and put the old one in the dog house. Next time you put it in the dryer put the setting on air only.
