Question:

Trouble preforming uki goshi?

I know the setup for uki goshi, but there's something that i keep screwing up on and i just don't know what. So i was wondering if somebody can tell me every single keypoint in doing this throw correctly. And try to be as specific as possible please. Furthermore, can somebody give me some tips and way i can apply this to wrestling. Because in a wrestling stance, you're opponent has a really low center of gravity and it's rather difficult to do a throw, especially koshi waza throws like uki goshi. Somebody please help. Remember, hater answers and stupid answers don't help anybody.

Answer:

Uki Goshi is very difficult to use against a very low posture. O Goshi maybe Remember the name of the throw (Floating hip.) As Peterngo shows in his Video as your opponent steps forward bring him up on his advancing foot, place your arm around his waist or as I prefer where his shoulder blades are, step into him slightly sideways, bring him onto your hip, almost sit or lay his body across your hips “tightly” and float him like a pivot round and down. Keep your body upright at all times The throw is fast and light, the moment you lead your opponent to where you want him It is not an easy throw to do. The secrete in my humble opinion it to hold him tightly when you pivot him around then down. I wish you luck
confident. as quickly as doing a ballet. two times for a music stay overall performance - and boy replaced into I scared, i replaced into the only one interior the midst of this huge point with a easy shining on me. Oh boy never returned!

Personally I found that grappling with wrestlers makes judo throws in general really hard to do. There’s less of a sure grip and they are so low in their stance. But those low stances are kind of unreasonable in a self defense situation and leaves them open to a lot of attacks. If you apply the throws to strikers or mma situation judo throws works much better. As far as applying uki goshi in wrestling, my advice is don’t try to use it. If an opportunity presents itself go for it, but try other throws otherwise. I think uchi mata is much better throw to go with wrestlers and it’s a bit like uki goshi.
