Answer:

You do not have to grease the foil when you're baking
Since it's cooked it should be OKI always use cooking spray if I'm cooking somethng on foilSticky sauces may pull up bits of foil.

Put slightly oil or butter on a paper serviette or paper towel and rub on the panRecollect the ends, that is where pies mainly stickNo, it's not crucial to grease an aluminum pan, but the edges do look to stick.
Did you try the adhesive that comes with the gold leaf? I'd run some sandpaper or steel wool over the area that I'm going to apply the gold leaf to first, wipe with a moist rag (dust), let it dry completely then apply the adhesiveLet it sit for a couple of minutes and apply the leafTap it down with a clean, dry paintbrush and let it set up for 24 hours before attempting to put the transfer over the leafPlease post a photo of this so we can see how it turns out.
