Question:

Twin screw pump and multi screw pump

Twin screw pump and multi screw pump

Answer:

Three intermeshing screws, in the pump cylinder according to each lead into a sealed cavity, resulting in the seal between the suction port.
In operation, the outer surface of the screw and the cylinder wall formed between the oil film, to prevent direct contact between the metal, so that the wear of the screw tooth surface greatly reduced.
The radial force of the driven screw is supported by the pump cylinder liner along its entire length, so there is no need to set up a bearing at the outer end, and it does not normally bear the bending load.
When the pump is working, the radial force acting on the active screw is fully balanced due to the symmetrical engagement between the two driven screws and the active screw, and the active screw does not bear the bending load.
It consists essentially of a bushing (pump cylinder) fixed in the pump body and an active screw mounted in the pump cylinder and two driven screws engaged with it.
