I just installed the new Ubuntu 7.10 on my 2nd hard drive, xp is on my main hard drive.The install went fine, but when the computer boots up it goes right to windows and completely ignores Ubuntu on my other drive.When I tried the last version of Ubuntu it installed some kind of loader that would let me select which OS I wanted to install....what did I do wrong here?
Where did you tell it to load the boot loader, you should have chosen the master boot record, if not your machine can't see grub. Do a re-install, ask for a clean install over this one, select mbr when requested.
