Question:

uninstall Grub Loader 1.5 ?

How do you remove the Grub Loader (and the Ubuntu 8.04) completely? I'm running Vista.

Answer:

Boot to Ubuntu CD. Use GPartEd to remove the Ubuntu partition and add the space back to the Vista Partition. Boot to Vista CD. Run repair console Type the following commands Bootrec.exe /fixmbr Bootrec.exe /fixboot
Because you've asked this question, I can tell you this - you do NOT want to delete GRUB. The easy way to remove Ubuntu - stick your Windows/Ubuntu installation CD. During installation you will be presented with disk partitioner program. In it, you will have to choose to delete your Ubuntu partition. Depending on how you've installed Ubuntu, it might be existing on several partitions. If you want to delete absolutely everything that's associated with it, you'd have to remove all the partitions.
