Question:

universal ALUMINUM cold air intake system w/filter???

universal ALUMINUM cold air intake system w/filter???

Answer:

Ok No would be a good place to start, all that that kit is, is, a dryer vent hose that is way to big for your throttle body, and a 10 dollar filter. its a waste of money.U should use a search engine and look up sport compact performance parts, or import performance, since I dont know what kind of car you have that is the best advice I can give to you, stay far away from those universal intakes.
Angel you got it. Simply , rear wheel drive mean the back wheels are powered by the motor, 4 wheel drive means all four wheels are powered by the motor. 4 wheel drive s use a little more gas as the motor has to power to sets of wheels . Hope that that is plain english enough for you. I could have given you the technical version but I thought this would be easier. Anyway hope that help you . Thanks
Yup thats right. I dont know who said it before but RWD (rear wheel drive) is NOT better in icy conditions!!!! front wheel drive or four wheel drive is better, RWD is better for sporty cars and is too easy to loose control on ice and snow.
You can probably find one specifically made for your year and model of car for around the same price on eBay. The ridges in that hose would definitely slow down your air and maybe not even give you any extra HP. Name brand intakes userally perform better because more science and love was put into developing them but most intakes that have a one piece pipe made especially for your car will be better than your stock air box.
Chuck is right to an extent, removing your factory airbox and installing a cone filter in it's place achieves basically the same result as an aftermarket intake system. But, the producers of high quality parts such as AEM, Injen, KN, etc do conduct significant amounts of research on the parts they build. They don't offer useless parts, or ones that don't work at all. They just tend to over-promise a bit in their advertisement. The actual performance gains will vary based on you specific make and model. There is an intake system available from a reputable manufacturer for almost every model of Honda built today. So unless you have some obscure model. or a completely un-performance oriented model (i.e. four cylinder odyssey) you should be able to find an intake. They do tend to be a bit overpriced in my opinion though, and in light of the product you were looking at, Chuck's suggestion should be your best bang for the buck idea.
