Question:

Viper car alarm help!!!?

My alarm used to work fine. It has a blue LED on the steering column and a blue LED strobe that turns on when I lock the doors. For some reason the blue light is constantly on now. When I lock the car it doesn‘t chirp or switch to the blue LED strobe. Any ideas?

Answer:

I have Diablo Corsas on my R1, I ride about the same as you and they work for me.
Michelin Pilot Power 2CT is the best. it is dual compound (2 Compound Tread) with a long wearing center tread and softer rubber on the sides for cornering grip. There is also a plain Pilot Power which is almost as good and a little less money. .
Time to buy a new one
Your alarm is in Valet mode. To fix it, do this: 1. Open a door. 2. Put your key in the ignition. 3. Turn the key to the run position, then off again. (Don't start the car). 4. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet switch (small black pushbutton).
do this you have 4 seconds if not close the door and try again you are going to use the remote open the drivers door from outside press 1 for one second 2 for one second 1 again for one second the light will turn off in a few seconds and now you can try the alarm if you don't have numbers on the remote use the lock and unlock buttons lock for 1 second unlock for one second, lock for one second you have 4 seconds to do this good luck
