Call your alarm installer and find out if you have a bad sensor. Did the firefighters find a fire? If you have access to the alarm box, turn it off, but make sure your alarm repair people get there asap, you don't want to be without protection. Property and insurance issues are important here.
As long as the jeans are not brand new and never washed, you should be O.K. There should be no color changes. As an extra safety measure, you might try washing in a cold-water setting. On second thought, I don't think it would be a good idea to wash fine dress shirts with the rough material that denim is.
