Answer:

The fire alarm has a smoke detector fitted in your apartment (as the picture showed) the things that can set the alarm off are steam from showering without opening a window, burned toast or cooking oil at high temperature or cigarette smoke causing smoke (open a window whilst cooking or smoking ) I suppose using heated hair curlers on damp hair might cause the detector to go off just ventilate the room where you are using the hair straightness by Opening a window and shutting the door to the hallway or where the smoke or steam is
I'm so very sorry for your loss. That is such a tragedy. Although speed bumps would make people slow down, on that particular stretch of road, I would think it might make it more dangerous if a driver doesn't know they're coming. I would talk to the engineers in the road department that's in charge of building and fixing roads in that area and ask them for suggestions. If they can come up with a good idea, I would then get a mass of people to take it up at the next counsel meeting or if it is a county road take it up with the county commissioners. Good luck. I hope you make that road less dangerous. If it is a state road, find out who your state rep is for that region and write to them and as many others on the state legislature.
