Question:

Wearing tampons to bed?

Im on my period, and I hate wearing pads to bed. I feel like they might leak, and they are messy. I want to wear a tampon to bed, but im scared to. Any advice/tips? Thanks!

Answer:

I always where a tampon and a pad to bed. I haven't ever had a leak. Just if you do this then make sure to put in a new tampon RIGHT before you go to bed and then take it out right when you get up.
I'm pretty sure the tampons are made a little better these days, but the risk of toxic shock syndrome is still there. I think as long as you're not sleeping for more than 8hrs, you should be ok.
I wouldn't wear tampons ever. Not with the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome. Wear a long pad and snug fitting underwear.
To be honest, I probably wouldn't wear a tampon to bed. You're not supposed to leave one in longer than 6-8 hpurs, in order to prevent TSS. But, I wouldn't want to risk it! Maybe ask your gyno or your doctor? Just to be sure. :)
dont wear tampons to bed......tampons are bad enough because the blood is supposed to roll freely.....so when you go to bed use pads.....you just have to learn how to put them on right.
