Question:

how do u dry a carpet thatz wet?

well my brother spilled iced tea all over the carpet

Answer:

A shop vac ( wet/dry ) is the best thing. If you've got some clean paint rollers you can roll them across the wet area to help dry it. Otherwise, regular towels will have to do.
you could try a blow dryer if the cord or outlet is long enough to reach the wet spot.
Dab it up with dry cloth towels then blow a fan across it for a few hours.
Quickly pour some ammonia and baking soda over the spilled tea so it can't get a chance to stain the carpet. If you have a little green hand held steam cleaner that would really help get the water and tea pulled up out of the carpet. But there is always a way to dry a carpet. Get a bunch of bath towels and lay them over the wet spots now and step on them and squeeze out the water and liquid onto the bath towels. You may have to use a few towels to get it dry as you possibly can by stepping on the bath towels. Also you can twist around while you are absorbing the dampness. Once that job is done and the stain got lifted out you should put the bath towels into the washing machine and wash them and dry them, fold em and you're done. Best of Luck it happens to everyone now and then. A couple weeks ago I spilled a full glass of red punch onto my tweed berber carpet and what an awful mess that was to clean up as fast as I could so the red didn't get a chance to dye my carpet. It still has two small darker areas but it isn't red.
