Answer:

One thing that I like to make and my whole family loves it, (3rd grader and pre-k) is a roast with potatoes and carrotsI take one rump roast or roast of choice, and quarter up potatoes and baby carrots, even some bell peppers or whatever else you want to throw in, put some MrsDash, table blend seasoning all over everything and cover with waterIt cook it on low for 8 hours or on hi for 6It usually comes out very tender.
I use my slow cooker frequently to make a homemade spaghetti sauce that works great on spaghetti or baked zitiI frequently make a double batch so I have some to store in the freezer for those days I'm in a hurryThis recipe is from my Mom and I have no idea where she got it fromMix in the crock pot the following: 24 ounces of tomato sauce 1 can of Rotel tomatoes 12 ounces of tomato paste 1 garlic clove chopped 1 medium onion chopped 1 green pepper chopped 6 Bay Leaves Brown 1 pound of ground chuck or ground turkey, drain and add to the crock potCover and cook on low or high, depending on how soon you need it, until all the ingredients are thoroughly mixedAbout two hours on highRemove the Bay Leaves before servingBest homemade spaghetti sauce ever.
Cooler Ice Beverages (pop, water, stuff for kids if needed) Cups Straws Plates Bowls if needed for salad type dishes Plasticware (knives, spoons, forks) Napkins Meat for grilling Cheese for cheeseburgers Barbeque sauce, if needed Tongs or Spatula for flipping/turning the meat on the grill Aluminum foil to put on the grill rack before you heat it for cleanliness purposesCharcoal and/or Wood for the barbeque Lighter fluid Condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish etc., if needed) Side dishes - potato salad, chips, salad (stuff like that) A spoon to serve the side dish with Moist antibacterial towels like Wet Ones because park's usually don't have hot soap water Games to play - horseshoes, volleyball, cornhole, bocce ball, football etcChairs if you won't have enough seating there Reservations to use the firepit at the park, if required Garbage bag for your garbage Sharp knife (to open hot dog package with for example) Bug spray Suntan lotion Jacket in case it gets cold I hope this helps!!
