Bathing her will not cause her any harm unless she is a freak about getting a bath. Here is the composition of insulbright: Insul~Bright consists of hollow, polyester fibers needlepunched through a nonwoven substrate and through a reflective metalized poly film. The needled material is breathable and won’t break down with washing. The hollow fibers resist conduction while the reflective metalized poly film resists radiant energy. The energy, hot or cold, is reflected back to its source. Since the poly film has metal, I would recommend a metallic needle for this application. I've used metallic needles when using metal like decorative threads. This worked very well for me, and suspect that it might also be good for this application. Good Luck!
