Question:

What are good car alarms?

there has been a couple of car break ins in my area in the past 3 months. i have the standard alarm that honks when it goes off and that‘s it. i want something better.what brand should i get?im looking for an ignition kill. i don‘t mind the alarm going off BUT i don‘t want any little thing triggering it either. i don‘t want a leaf to land on it and then it goes off blasting (only when the car is broken into) . i don‘t want noise pollution but i want my car safe.and any idea of a device that can track the car if stolen? thanks

Answer:

Choco Becausebthey are heavy, and add no speed to then road riders efforts. I also suspect, that most mtn riders do not need them either. That suspension and disc brakes have come into fashion in that cycling genre And that many of the riders are paying for technology that they really don't need for their riding. I see hundreds of mtn bikes each month Going down the street with their suspension systems unlocked and their bright shiny disk brakes being unneeded form their riding needs.Mthe majority of mtn riders could do quite nicely with V braked hard tails and never know they were missing anything. Disc brake components tend to weight a little more than conventional brakes. Mountain biking often requires more aggressive braking action, so the little bit of added weight is worth it. With road racing you got those skinny little tires, so your braking is limited by that, and also there are less surprises so you don't generally need to stop or slow down as fast
By pro road riders? I'm assuming you mean road bikes. WEIGHT. How often do you see road bikes in a race come into a situation where extreme braking power is needed? None. The whole idea is to get that bike as light as possible for more speed. This is why they also have no suspension, thin tires that have a high psi rating, etc., etc.
Spend the money and get a LOJackand end all of your problems.
a big dog in the back seat that would scare away any car thifet as now everyone ingores the car alarms anyway also on star is working on a program when they can remotey disable the eninge and the car rolls to a stop
