Question:

What are oriented silicon steel and non oriented silicon steel?

What are oriented silicon steel and non oriented silicon steel?

Answer:

The cold rolling process is more advanced in China, hot rolled steel coil as raw material by pickling descaling after cold rolling, the finished rolling hard volumes, due to continuous deformation caused by cold hardening the volume rolling hard strength, hardness, toughness index rise decline, so the stamping performance will deteriorate that can only be used for simple deformation of parts. Rolled hard rolls can be used as raw material for hot galvanizing plants, because the hot galvanizing units are equipped with annealing lines.
The oriented silicon steel sheet is used to make the iron core material for various transformers. The non oriented silicon steel is used for household appliances, micro motors, ballasts, small transformers, generators and large and medium-sized motor iron core.
The main difference between the oriented silicon steel sheet and the non oriented silicon steel sheet is that the magnetic flux density, iron loss, thickness and grain orientation of the silicon steel during the rolling process tend to be uniform, and the grain orientation distribution of the non oriented grain is even. Their effects are different.
