I'm talking about both commercial farms and subsistence farms. When I say mechanization, I'm referring to tractors, harvesters, threshers etc
I find tractors a big help to carry heavy loads plough the fields cut the hay and carry big bales of hay/straw..so thats an advantage farm machinery make farming a bit easier and you are able to do work quicker (i.e harvesting) and with out the need of to many labourers and less physical strain... disadvantage: they can be dangerous if not used/handled properly they can be expensive to buy compare to employing workers need fuel and maintenence which can be expensive they are not environmentally friendly
