What are the advantages of epoxy resin coatings?

Answer:

Strong adhesion: the presence of polar hydroxyl groups and ether bonds inherent in the molecular chain of epoxy resins, making it highly adhesive to various substances. When cured, epoxy resin has low shrinkage and little internal stress, which also helps to increase adhesive strength.
1, various forms: a variety of resins, curing agents, modifier system can almost adapt to various forms of application requirements, which range from very low viscosity to high melting point solids.2, curing convenience: the use of a variety of curing agents, epoxy resin system can be almost 0~180 degrees of temperature curing.
Low shrinkage: the reaction between the epoxy resin and the curing agent is carried out by the direct addition reaction or the ring opening polymerization of the oxygen radical in the resin molecule, without the release of water or other volatile by-products. Compared with unsaturated polyester resins and phenolic resins, they show very low shrinkage (less than 2%) during curing.
