Question:

what are the main problems faced in regenerative braking systems?

what are the main problems faced in regenerative braking systems, tell me some issues on which further work can be done in regenerative braking system, specially in motorcycles.

Answer:

It is that way because there is a loose nut behind the wheel
When they mention regenerative braking. It's basically the electric motor doing the stoping. Electric motors goes both ways. To clarify what I mean, lets take this as an example: when you put in electric current through the electric motor, the motor moves, agreed? Now if you can move the electric motor(lets say you are going down the hill), then it starts acting like a generator and the electric motor is producing electric current that can go back in to the battery. Now it's not easy to turn an electric motor to produce electricity. There will be lots of resistance, that's where the braking comes from.
I can#x27;t come anywhere close to the detail you#x27;re asking for in your question, but I can say when I drive the 2014 X3 3.5i and the 2014 335i xdrive, the BMW EfficientDynamics system that engages in regenerative braking isn#x27;t as smooth as a regular braking system. Sometimes it#x27;s touchy and not that smooth.
