Question:

What are the rules about caring for tires?

Should I change my tires already?

Answer:

check the tread wear with a penny,u must of heard of that. stick the penny in the tread wear and if u see the head no good. tire should be rotated every 6,000 miles. if u r bey new tire look on the side wall for the treadwear. it will be in number look for anything from 300 and higher.
All tires have different mileage lifes. I went nearly 60,000 miles on a set of michilens. Proper balance, rotation at 10,000 mile intervals will increase the life of tires. I know Goodyear Eagles are soft tires and usually do not have a very long life. Depends on the grade of rubber. Also proper inflation helps care for tires. Driving habits, types of roads play in wear as well. Also the front end being aligned correctly helps them last longer as well.
