Question:

What Are the upcoming AMD Bulldozer Specs?

I know that it will be an amazong 16 Cores. And will double as a GPU. But i don't know the GHz of it. Also what is the big deal on The Intel's Upcoming Sandy Bridges? It only has some minor improvments over the i7. Like only .1 GHz increase.

Answer:

First of all... Not all Bulldozer CPUs will be 16 core. 16 core processors will likely be reserved for servers. The desktop processors won't have more than 8 cores. The second generation will have up to 10 cores, but they haven't even finished the first generation Bulldozer processors. Secondly, your comment about Sandy Bridge being a minor improvement over previous i7s couldn't be further from the truth.

APU codenames - Desktop Budget and Mainstream market (Virgo platform): The Stars-based Llano Fusion APU line will be replaced by Trinity, Weatherford, and Richland Fusion APUs (2 to 4 cores) that are aimed at various price points in the desktop market. Like Corona, this platform will use Socket FM2 format.[30] And when looking at a CPU don't base a purchase only on clock speed. How do you think a 2.66 core 2 duo beats a pentium 4 3.0ghz at single threaded applications? It's all in the micro architecture and you won't find that written about anywhere so you should wait for benchmarks comparing Bulldozer to Sandy Bridge.
