Question:

What brake fluid to use in my 2003 BMW F650CS?

Manual says I should only use the BMW brand brake fluid, but wouldn‘t another brand be fine? Also, what weight motor oil should I use?

Answer:

Another brand should be fine, however. .make sure you know what the DOT type is currently in the bike. I think BMW motorcycles are DOT 4, so if your manual says DOT 4 make sure you use DOT 4 if you add fluid, because you should not mix your existing fluid with a different DOT type. FYI, DOT 3 and 4 can absorb water. DOT 5 does not. DOT 3 and 4 can harm paint so make sure you do not get it on your bike's finish. In all cases do not get water in the fluid as it could reduce brake performace in heavy braking situations for DOT 3 and 4. And in DOT 5 water can cause corrosion. To minimize water and moisture from entering the system minimize the number of times you open the cap of the fluid and the reserviour on your bike. Make sure the caps are tightly closed. As far as oil BMW SG 50 weight oil is tough to beat. It has been shown to be better than the cheaper automotive oils, and ahead of Mobil 1 in wear fighters. Ride safely.
Greetings, I think the car is NOT totaled as when a car is totaled it means the cost to repair the damage exceeds the actual value of the car. You mentioned that the steering wheel leans to the right, if it is that when the front wheels are straight and the steering wheel is off-set, then that could be an alignment problem which will need to be corrected by a wheel alignment specialist. Also, you said that above 60 MPH the steering shakes/vibrates, then you have a faulty front tire(s) or you will need to have both front tires balanced at the alignment specialist, which is done for high speed balancing, i.e. weights are added to the rim/wheel to reduce/eliminate the vibration. Please ensure that the correct air pressure is in both or all tires which is 28 PSI when cold.
What EdmondDoc said. You can use anything you want. BUT, these manufactures design oils and things specificaly for their bikes. They spend billions of dollars in research to give you the best usable product for your ride. Why would anybody want to go cheap and cause more damage to his bike which would cost more in the long run than the oil he buys specifically for his bike. These are not cars where any old stuff works, these are specialty units which need your loving care and attention. Brake fluids are designed for differant heat ranges, and water dissipation. Study them. But use what your owners manuals says to use.
Go with what EdmondDoc said. The motorcycle manufactors use the lowest bidder to supply their oils and fluids. The Yamaha or Harley, or BMW guys subcontract their fluids to whoever can supply them the cheapest, then you buy the BMW name with the oil, or brake fluid.
its really simple all you need to do is buy a new bulb then just get it put in by someone or take off the cover of the light and put it in like a normal bulb
