Answer:

First things firstWas the Restoration Company hired by your insurance company or was it hired privately by you or a family member? If the Restoration company is hired by your Insurance company, then you must contact your insurance company/agentThey will be able to tell you what contract was drawn up between them and the Restoration Company and what is lined out in the said contractIf you hired the Restoration company privately, then you need to read up on the fine print of the contractThis will tell you what they will and can do, and what they will not do Before you call either your Insurance Company or Restoration Company, write up a list of questions you want to ask themKeep the questions to a minimum but too the pointWho ever you are talking to get there name, and an extension so as you can deal with the one personAlso take pictures of the items in questionIt would also help if you had a witness to look at the items, some one who is not a family memberTake inventory of your items, listing what is defective with itBe it dampness, mold, dirt.ect All of this will help you get faster and speedier services from either or both your Insurance Company the Restoration Company I am very sorry about your fire, but if no-one was hurt then all is wellI hope the information I gave you helps you outTake care and good luck.
Here you go Soy Meatball Sub: 8 soy meatballs 1/4 cup marinara sauce 2 hoagie rolls, sliced in half lengthwise 1/4 cup grated vegan mozzarella (try Follow Your Heart brand) Preheat the broiler to low Heat the meatballs and the sauce in the microwave or on the stovetop until warm Place four meatballs on each hoagie roll, top with half of the marinara and grated soy cheese, and place on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet Place under the broiler until the bread is toasted and the soy cheese has started to melt, about 3 minutesMakes 2 subs
I too lost my house but it was a 100 % burn and make a good list and don't let the insurance co rush you have mentally do a walk thru for each room , and what was saved if it did not get extreme heat it has a chance , the only items you should worry about is the lead containment , painted with lead , Usually from China Or Japan, when you clean use a dust mask and shower right away when your done , my house was older and full of lead and im ok so far , so good luck with your save
No, the solid objects aren't toxic, but you may still want to wipe them off with a damp cloth or rinse under water to get the dirt or dust off if they don't look cleanI have helped many people clean up after a fire, as a volunteer firefighter, and never was an issue of anything being toxic from the ash residueNor would you have lead on stuff unless you had a lot of lead stored in the house and it somehow got on everything- I teach lead abatement classes and indoor air quality (mold and mildew) For clothes- if they ruined them, make them pay you for themThe restoration company did not do a very good job it sounds likeI'd have them write off any clothing that is no longer wearable, and if the bedding smells funky, don't accept that either.
