Question:

what can i put on a ceramic stove top?

My family just got a stove with ceramic stove top.You know the one with no burners, it‘s just flat .What can i or can‘t I put on the stove that won‘t damage it?

Answer:

Your question is not clear. do you mean to clean it or pots and pans. to clean it, you should use a creamic stove top cleaner or soft scrub. A sharp razor blade will work to scrape off any cooked on food and then use the cleaner. as far as pots and pans go, any type will be fine. some may cause brown burnt on spots. It is a matter of trying different ones, Hope this helped
a splash dish cleansing soap and water will do wonders. First, take up as lots spilled oil as you could with paper towels. Then, upload a drop or 2 of dish liquid to a moist sponge. Wipe glass with sponge. proceed to wipe up and rinse below sparkling water. If there are any burnt on remnants that proceed to be, you could scrape them off with a unmarried edged razor.
The only things you can't use on it are glass or ceramic pots, anything that has a rough bottom (take your hand over the bottom, it should be completely smooth) and the pot/pan must have a completely flat bottom. Your owners manual will detail more. The owner's manual will also tell you where to place what type of baked goods in the oven for best results and how to clean your cook top. I'm on my second stove with this type of top and I love them. Get some good microfiber cloths. I use mostly hot, soapy (Dawn), clean dishwater for most of the cleaning. The microfiber cloths don't leave streaks and wipe much more efficiently. Do not wipe while the top is still warm; you will end up with a mess. Wipe it up after each use; saves cleaning burned on things later. Keep a good coating of the special cleaner (should have gotten a sample with the unit) on it also. Not so much for the cleaning but these products do offer some protection kind of like car wax. For nasty stuff, get a can of Barkeeper's Friend and a sponge with the nylon scrub pad that is safe for non-stick cookware. These stoves take longer to heat but once they are hot, you can turn the heat down considerably. There is a bit of a learning curve so be patient.
