Answer:

On one side you should be able to see a black material between the mesh and the frame. This is a small rubber rope called spline. Carefully dig this out and it should all come out in a long string. Not a bad idea to replace this when you replace the wire screen. A small tool , I call it a screen spline roller is needed to help replace the spline when you put it back together. Lay new mesh flat over the frame and set in 1 side pull snug but not tight as you do the other side by rolling the spline into place . GL
You can buy a fire blanket,it smoother's the air flow to the fire,you can use them for cooking oil fire to,DONT LISTEN TO that crazy wowan that say's throw flour onto an electrical fire,the fire blanket's can be mounted on the wall in the kitchen,it is a good idea to have a fire extinguisher near by just in case,talk to a pro about what it will be used for and what sort to buy. as far as i know on the small one's once it has been used that's it you have to get it checked out/or buy a new one hope this has helped
