Question:

What cold air intake to buy?

I am planning on buying a cold air intake for my lancer 2009 gts manual transmission and i dont know what to buy i want the one that gives me the best hp please help and say how much horse power will be added

Answer:

that light will come on for a few different reasons that i will list for you so that you can check them to a point or have the system checked to eliminate that possibility. 1 the e-brake is still applied, even partially. 2 the master cylinder is low, a floating sensor will turn that light on to let you know that there is a problem. 3 if there is a difference in pressure in the two circuits, the pressure differential switch will turn that light on. 4 on some of the imports, mercedese definitley on some models has a grounding electrode that will turn that light on when the pads are worn past a point.
This Site Might Help You. RE: brake warning light stays on? For a while my brake warning light (on the dashboard) would come on when I started to go after a red light or stop sign but as off yesterday it stays on all the time. It's a 99 Ford Escort if that helps
You'll get like 2hp out of one. Lot of money for not much gain. Just put a pod filter on for a bit of extra noise, and save urself $100
An aftermarket intake simply reduces the airflow restriction. It will cause some horsepower gains, but dont expect much more than 3-10 extra horsepower. However, they sound and look nice and they may even give you better gas mileage. Some of the best intakes are made by AEM. Check out their cold air intakes. AEM produces quality products. Disclaimer: Because your car is so new, they may not have many products available. I would wait awhile to see if there are even enough products to shop for.
AEM is a well known for their cold air intakes (CAI) and other after market upgrades. Just fyi, you'll need more than just a CAI for additional power, performance headers and cat-back exhaust will also benefit. Some people also replace the stock catalytic converter with a high-flow catalytic converter (in addition to the headers and exhaust). Upgrading components is expensive. If you're not looking to upgrade anything more than just an intake, save your money and don't bother. It sounds nice at open throttle but without the other goodies it's pointless. I'll use the analogy of a barking dog without the bite.
