Question:

What did they use quartz for in WWII?

We went to a place that they used to mine the quartz - I was surprised that it was mined with explosives and the stones (well, the ones that were left) are mostly white. What were they using this for?

Answer:

I have never really heard of quartz being used in piercings but since it is similar to glass I assume it would be okay. I suggest waiting till your piercer gets more in and getting pierced with it. Ask them to call you when they get them in. This way you are not having to change it early. This way you know what you are getting. You can get a piercing done with glass, bio flex or any other hypoallergenic material.
