Question:

What do brackets on tabs mean?

e----------------------------------------------------------------------------B----------------------------------------------------------------------------G---------------- 2-2-2--9-9--7-7-7---7-7-7--9-9--5-5-5-----------------------D---(9-9-9-9)----2-2-2--9-9--7-7-7---7-7-7--9-9--5-5-5-----------------------A---(9-9-9-9)----------------------------------------------------------------E----------------------------------------------------------------------------What do i have to do with the notes in the brackets? Thanks

Answer:

Notes between brackets are called ghost notes. A ghost note can be played by fretting a note, but not picking it. Ghost notes are barely audible, but they do a lot to the feel of the music.
I dont know i tried googling 'guitar tab keys' but nothing came up, my suggestion would be to listen out carefully for the bracketed notes on the song you got the tab from, see what they sound like and work out how to copy them by ear
