Are you talking about storm doors/screen doors?
Steel doors? Usually for exterior or entry doors on residential and used for almost all commercial buildings, like hospitals and hotel because of the higher fire resistance they provide.
I'm guessing you mean both are hung in the same doorway...(you have to open both of them to get into the room). If this is what you are talking about and the metal door is facing the exterior of the house it is commonly called a storm door. It usually has glass in it and it is just a barrier from the elements outside before the normal door. Hope this helps. Good luck...
