Broken Steel is an addon that lets you continue the story after the business with the final battle for the Purifier and extends to level cap to... 30? 40? Can't quite remember. In Broken Steel you side with the BoS to wipe up what is left of the Enclave in the Capital Wastelands, in the end infiltrating and (possibly) destroying a huge armored crawler-base (or you can blow up the Citadel, the BoS HQ, your call). Anyway the game won't end after your final decision and you can continue wreaking havoc over the wasteland, exploring, whatever.

In Broken steel, if you've already finished the game you get to continue playing the game and see events after you die in the original. With Broken steel, instead of dying in the end, your character was just knocked into a coma and you awaken and finish helping the Brotherhood of Steel fight the enclave. It also increases the level cap from 20 to 30 so you can level up more. Basically, you help kill the Enclave, transport fresh water while fighting off raiders etc.
you will see the conventional ending on the tip, yet once you have BS downloaded you will awaken to start up a sparkling quest extremely than having the activity in basic terms end. Vault one 0 one won't open back up, you in basic terms get to bypass back for the hassle on the homefront quest. and 3, as quickly as you have BS downloaded the activity will never end
