No. I also feel that people are now so indifferent to them that they kind of blend into our daily lives. I agree that too many people have their alarms set to an unreasonably high sensitivity level that people don't give them a second thought. I think they are a good deterrent, but they are so common that if a thief with a convincing story about locking his keys in the car could probably steal a car in broad day light if so inclined.
