Question:

What goes into a hydrogen fuel cell?

I feel like this is a stupid question. I have read oxygen and hydrogen go into it and electrons come out. I know absolutely nothing but bits and pieces about hydrogen and it's works but, the only thing I know that has hydrogen and oxygen is water. So does water go into it?

Answer:

No, you can't make hydrogen fuel out of water. Water is strongly bound together and would cost more energy than it gives. I'm pretty sure they make it from some ores that have all the oxygen in them,
There are two types of hydrogen fuel cells; Combining hydrogen and oxygen releases electrons and forms h2o (water). Separating h2o absorbs electrons and forms hho (hydrogen and oxygen). Both are considered a hydrogen fuel cell, combining hydrogen and oxygen releases enough electrons to run an electric car motor. Separating h2o into hydrogen and oxygen creates a gas that can be burned as a additive to fuel, or in some cases as the only fuel. Scientists don't understand how hho works, so a lot of smart scientist will tell you that hho does not work. But those scientist just never worked with hho. Hho is also called brown's gas, and it has been around for years.
