Question:

what happens if i leave my bike out in the rain once?

what happens if i leave my bike in the rain storm once? i cant get it in i dont wanna get wetbut will it get messed up? or what?

Answer:

most good bikes are made of chromoly (aluminum molybdenum chrome) and some even have titanium steel casings (very light strong )Cheap bikes may rust if you did not wipe it dry and sprayed the bolts and screwsOtherwise you are expected to use the bike under rainy weather, showers et al(regular weather- good times bad times) and its supposed to be able to last for yearsdry the bike and spray the gearsI like to take care of my bike and store it in a dry area If you cant get to it and it got wet because it was left out in the rain, use a rag and dry itthen spray the gears and joints where the screws are located then hope for the bestI have seen people dismantle their bikes regularly to clean and spray just because they rode over muddy puddles and the wheels, gears and spokes got dirtyjust regular maintenance they all say.
