The Dana axle is used in almost all dodge, ford, and GM four wheel drive front axles The manufacturer ordered them with different mounts and things, so they are not interchangeable, but the internals are all similar. It is a very good strong axle for the most part, which is why the auto companies bought millions of them, There are lots of DANA 60 rear ends out there, I had one on a muscle car that took a lot of abuse from me in the form of the many sets of tires a fried off with a bult 440 in it that eventually got me in a lot more trouble than the law would allow, sure was fun though to nail a downshift at 60 into second and blow the doors of those kids in daddys 5.0 mustang on friday nights in Seattle. I never got tired of them looking in the mirror to see where I was, (because they thought their dads car was fast) and I would be next to them and then in front of them in a heartbeat or two. The feeling of the big block kicking down, and blasting off was akin to being shot out of a gun when it took off in second, and it pulled as hard in third, as it did in second.
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/qFZDE If you are running a stock setup, the front is definitely a Dana 30. The rear could be a Dana 35 or Dana 45.the 35 was standard, the 45 was an option. Look at the bolt pattern on the rear. do they form more of a circle or more of an irregular shape with angles? More circular 35. More angular 45. I could tell you for sure if you had a picture.
