Question:

What is a good lacrosse stick for a first year player?

This is my first year playing lacrosse. I've started practicing, so I bought an STX AV8 with an AL6000 shaft. It's already got dents in it. I need a nicer stick with a non-aluminum shaft. I've been told that a Warrior Mojo is good for a beginner, but it still has an aluminum shaft. Cost effective solutions would be great, but I'm willing to spend a little more for a nice stick. Again, I'm a beginner, but I'm catching on very quickly. Also, I do not want a defensive stick. Thanks!

Answer:

I don't know if girls and guys use the same sort of sticks, I know there are different heads though. I used a Warrior Kryptolite stick. I got it on sale for about $95 and it worked out great
If you wanna spend a little more money but the Warrior Kryptolyte, its your best buy for the money. For a head, buy a Brine Answer, (NOT THE ANSWER PRO). The final price should be around $110 but it's the best stuff for the cheapest price.
If you're willing to pay extra money, and you don't want aluminum, go with: Warrior Levitation-$215 Warrior Titan Classic-$155 Warror Titan Pro-$170 Warrior Dolomite-$130 TI22 Titanium (Brine)-$150 If you want a crankshaft, go with a Crankshaft 10° Titanium (STX)- $129 These are all titanium shafts, which are stronger than aluminum shafts. They won't bend or break as easily. These are all different sticks you can use on attack or midfield. For box, any position except goalie. I got all my prices from the Laxzilla catalogue. It's probably cheaper if you're American, we have to pay extra shipping here ( I live in Canada).
