I have a lot of german garten zwerge[little gnomes]have a lot of black spots from being outdoors,I guess how do I get rid of them.I heard a good plastic cleaner might do it.

They are products already available in the market. You can buy on stores like Walmart. If you have it around the house, kerosene is good for this purpose and will not damage the plastic. Good luck...!
Try Lestoil straight from the bottle and then rinse well. Unless the dirt has gone into the plastic it will clean them. It's what we used to clean the outside of our hard top trailer and I used it on 2 garden chairs that were black a couple of years ago. all came sparkling clean. I did try it on some plastic planters but it didn't work. The finish was worn off and the dirt was embedded in the plastic. A fresh coat of plastic paint did work though so if cleaning doesn't work you may try that
