Question:

what is a tire rotation?

what is a tire rotation and what happens if you don‘t get it rotated over certain period of time. what will the results be? and when should one get their tires rotated every time? thanks

Answer:

tires are rotated front to back every other oil change. tires that are not rotated will ware more than tires that are not rotated.this is also a good way to keep the brakes checked.
Regular rotation of tires is not only important for vehicles with four tires but also with six wheelers that has dual rare wheels. During the rotation of each tire the wheel is removed from the vehicle and it moves to a different position to make sure all tires wear evenly. So this way they last longer. Most of these tires rotate almost every six months. So it is extremely important for the owners of the vehicle to have knowledge about tire rotation and tire wearing to know when to replace to estimate the life time or the tires.
Tire rotation is when the wheels/tires are removed from the car and replaced in different positions to help even out tire wear. It's a good thing to help extend the life of your tires. Some people recommend tire rotation every 5000 miles. I normally have it done at every second oil change, or about 8,000 to 10,000 miles.
