Question:

What is AC induction motor?

What is AC induction motor?

Answer:

Because the induction motor in the stator coil to enter AC current, such as three-phase alternating current. The stator coil produces a magnetic field that rotates with the change of alternating current, which we call rotating magnetic fields.
An induction motor and an alternating current commutator motor belong to an alternating current asynchronous motor. Induction motors are divided into single-phase asynchronous motor, AC and DC motor, and so on. We usually call induction motor as AC asynchronous motor.
Three phase motors must be cut off at the same time when the 3 phase motor is switched off. You can't just cut off 1 or 2 of them. This will burn the motor. Usually, the electrician calls it "eating a single phase"".
The rotor does not directly enter the AC, the rotor is equipped with a closed loop conductor. The rotating magnetic field does relative motion with the rotor, and the closed conductor on the rotor cuts the magnetic field lines to produce an electric current, which then interacts with the rotating magnetic field of the stator so as to drive the rotor to rotate. As described above, the current in the rotor is induced by the rotating magnetic field of the stator, so it is called induction motor.
