What is animal feed additives?

Answer:

Enzymes such as Lysine are added to promote growth. Other additives such as meat meal, tallow (tasty warmed animal fat) and even bran (to prevent constipation) in sows are added....!!
Through bio encapsulation, various specific types of minerals, growth promoting substances are given to animals. Normal feed will lack various types of vitamins & minerals, which are then added to an animal's feed for promoting normal health. Blood meal, feather meal, fish meal, fish offal, products from a cannery waste are some other examples.
Feed additives are products used in animal nutrition for purposes of improving the quality of feed and the quality of food from animal origin, or to improve the animals’ performance and health, e.g. providing enhanced digestibility of the feed materials
Additives. Growth formula. Helps build muscle at a faster rate to an animal. Not the best organic way to farm.
Feed additives are substances that are added to feed that would not naturally be present. They are typically things like mineral or vitamin supplements, medication, or non-organic substances that either help bind the feed together or help digestion (grit with chicken). Vitamin and mineral supplements are used in the same manner as vitamin pills are for humans. If the animal cannot get enough of the vitamin or mineral it requires from normal food, that vitamin or mineral is added to the feed. Medication is sometimes added on top of the feed in order to treat the entire herd of animals if a sickness has spread through the herd instead of treating each individual animal.
