Question:

What is causing my smoke alarm to go off and making a burning smell?

For the past week or so, the smoke alarm has gone off in the middle of the night in my apartment, followed by a burning smell (like an electrical fire or something) but there is no smoke, no fire, nothing. Just the burning smell. The alarm goes off for a few seconds and then stops, while the burning smell remains for a little while and then it, too, goes away. The heat isn't on, nothing is hot (we have checked walls, plugs, everything you can imagine) and we have even started unplugging everything at night. The first time it happened we called the fire department and they checked everything and told us not to worry until we saw smoke, but something has got to be causing this. I am worried that one day something will eventually catch on fire. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is and what I can do to make it stop?

YES!!! I love this mascara with all of my heart! I just got it like last month and it has made my lashes look amazing! It makes them longer which is great for my teeny lashes. And no it actually doesn't clump (thank god) because I hate clumpy mascara. I separates them nicely and it's really easy to apply. I got the waterproof version because i always get waterproof mascara but I'm almost positive that doesn't make a difference. So yeah i would definitely say this is a good mascara. :)
Tire chains are not illegal. In extreme cases of snow and/or ice, you may use tire chains. MCL 257.710 of the Michigan Vehicle Code covers the use of tire chains, and states that a person may use a tire chain of reasonable proportion upon a vehicle when required for safety because of snow, ice, or other condition tending to cause a vehicle to skid. If used, the chain must not come in contact with the surface of the roadway. If the roads are iced over, you can use them, I think that when the roads are covered with snow, most police will be busy with accidents and won't pull you over for driving over short stretches of roadway that may not be covered with snow, but that is obviously at your discretion.
