Question:

What is it that attracts people to lightning?

Lightning RodYou draw all eyes to you. There is power and majesty in your bluster.Though the danger is very real, the audience stands in awe,not knowing how to describe what they are looking for. They stand and in a flash you are gone.Leaving behind charred remains.Comments/Critiques?

Answer:

A solenoid is an electromechanical actuator. Usually it consists of a coil of wire and a ferrous metal core which is free to move in the centre of it. When current flows in the coil, the core is pulled into the coil by the magnetic field, so you get a linear movement - a push or pull. A valve, as you know, is just something that controls the flow of a liquid or gas. So a solenoid valve is a combination of a solenoid and a valve, which allows us to control the flow of gas or liquid using electric current.
Pretty dicey giving fire and respiratory hazard advice here. Most heating devices need to be properly ventilated for efficient operation as well as safety. Before removing any pipes, I would contact your local fire department and ask them to look at it. After all, that is their profession.
