Question:

What is resin? What is fiber?

What is resin? What is fiber?

Answer:

Resin: natural resin is a kind of substance secreted by normal growth of many plants. It is often mixed with essential oils, gums and organic acids in plants. Synthetic resins are synthesized by chemical synthesis of organic materials, a class of high molecular weight polymers with properties similar to those of natural resins. They are amorphous, semi-solid or solid organic compounds. The main products of synthetic resin are polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, ABS resin, polyamide and polycarbonate. In the synthetic resin with a proper amount of additives (plasticizers, stabilizers, etc.), at a certain pressure and temperature processing, it becomes plastic.Synthetic fiber: using petroleum, natural gas, coal and agricultural and sideline products as raw materials to make monomers, and then polymerization reaction is made of synthetic fiber. Synthetic and synthetic fibres are also referred to as chemical fibres. The fibers of cotton, wool, wood and grass are natural fibers. Viscose fiber made from wood and grass fibers by chemical processing; it belongs to man-made fiber.
Fiber (US: Fiber: British: Fibre) is a substance consisting of continuous or discontinuous filaments. In animals and plants, fiber plays an important part in the maintenance of tissues. Fiber is widely used, can be woven into thread, thread and rope, paper or woven mat can also be woven into the fiber layer; also used to manufacture and other materials, and other materials composed of composite materials.
Resin is the main raw materials for the manufacture of plastics, paint is also used the system (the main film-forming material, coating such as alkyd resin, acrylic resin, synthetic fatty acid resin, the resin in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta are also relatively strong in the paint industry, such as Changxin chemical, Nuplex resin, three resin, Ying DSM syntech resins), adhesives, insulating material, synthetic resin in industrial production, is widely used in separation and purification of impurities in liquid, with macroporous adsorption resin, ion exchange resin, and some special resin.
Resin usually refers to softening or melting range after heating. When softening, it tends to flow under external force. At normal temperature, it is solid, semi solid, and sometimes liquid organic polymer. Broadly speaking, any polymer compound that can be used as plastic material for processing raw materials is called resin.
