You can mineral dye quartz. You need to make an acid mineral dye. And since Copper sulfate is Green, take a piece of copper and put it into a glass beaker and form copper sulphate in a solution of Sulfuric Acid. I know this is a bit of chemistry, but paints simply will not work. You need an acid mineral dye as ive described above. See if you have a friend Chemist to make you this dye.
Quartz is nearly identical to glass. Your stained glass paint idea seems very good to me. Bert
Use the paint quartz is to hard nad it is not porus enough to take a dye unless you can put it under extreme pressure.
