what is the best dirt for making steel and where can i dig it up?
Tell me where your foundry is and I will tell you which yards in the area you can dig in. Shhhhhhh! do it at night and use plastic pails , only make small holes in each yard so you dont get caught.
It's called iron ore. You'll have to look at a geographical map which will show where the element is found. Here in Michigan we have the the upper peninsula which is almost all iron ore. Regards, Dale
