Question:

What is the best material to use for floors in boats?

i have my own boat already but it isnt in the greatest condition and i want to change everything in it starting from the ground up so if you have any ideas that would be great thanx. oh and i am going for a lightweight material.

Answer:

3/4 inch marine plywood
put a one way door in so they get out but can't get back in LOL
stuff the hole with insulaion. I was told they'll chew it but being fiberglass it should kill them. And you;ll also be able to see if they are syill coming and going
they now make fiberglass panels with a honeycomb center of some type of plastic. They never rot and are designed to hold the weight of someone standing on them. Where as plywood centers although strong and cheaper will eventually get water penetration and begin to rot
Fiberous Reinforced Plastic with a marine plywood core
