What is the best material to use for insulation?.?

I am trying to make my home more green eficient, and I am in the process of fixing up a back house, I would like to use materials for insulation of walls that are environment friendly, what would you recommend? Your help is vry much appreciated! Thank you :)

Answer:

No it will not even stick for long neither will tape, and glue try using gum ( its a suggestion I take no responsibility for your actions).
If vaseline floats, maybeBut what do you mean by sticking to the surface of the water? if anything, it will BREAK the surface tension of the water.
It might help prevent leaks through cracks in the foil, but it also makes the boat heavierPetroleum jelly is immiscible with water, so I'm not sure what you mean by sticking to the waterDo some experimenting to determine the weaknesses of your designs, and use that knowledge to come up with better designsYou can calculate how much water you need the boat to displace.
Do not use shredded news paper.w/ time it settles and so only portions of your walls will remain insulated and that's not coolThere is a soy based open cell foam that's new on the market and is supposed to be really good for the environment.
