Question:

What is the best propeller for my boat?

What would be the best propeller for my boat? I have a 1998 Caravelle 1900BR it has a 3.0L 140hp Volvo Penta SXWe do alot of watersports: pulling tubes, skis, and wakeboardsWould a 3 blade or 4 blade be better? Also aluminum or stainlessI have heard pros and cons of bothCan anyone recommend a pitch? Thanks.

Answer:

because there may be some moisture trapped inside the paperAnd you know Chemisty How precise it is :/ Een though it's a very small amount it may still alter the measurement and you would have a higher percent errorSo by heating it it makes any acess water evaporate so it's all paper and nothing else
You need more information1Load boat as normal; people fuel tank, any other things you take that is heavy2Run boat at wide open throttle, and trim drive as usual3Record RPM of engineDo not run boat very long at WOT4Remove old prop, take to prop shop5Tell them all about 1,2,3, and that you like to tube and skiIf they are decent people they will sell you the correct prop and probably give you something for the old oneBut then again you should carry a spare prop, thrust washer, lock washer, and nut on board for emergencies.
